Badoo Opinions: The ‘social network’ designed to get a partner
We can talk about Badoo in many ways, one of the most well known dating sites in the world. We can reduce it, for example, to numbers. 13 years of existence since its birth over there in 2006 and more than 418 million users spread over 190 countries in the world. That gives us a figure of about 32 million registered users annually since then. A true barbarism. But what about Badoo opinions? We’ll be looking at this article to see if Badoo really is one of the best dating sites around.
7 Total Score
Badoo is a dating site known today not so much for its present influence, but for its important trajectory, being one of the first sites to start offering this type of service. It has been innovating in some things, so it has been able to stay.
- Obviously, its long journey since its creation.
- It has a fantastic mobile application.
- Badoo is fun for its users.
- Anyone who signs up will find a familiar site thanks to its resemblance to a social network.
- It does not include a personality test.
- The desktop version looks disorganized.
- The profiles do not provide detailed information about their users.
User rating: 4 (5 votes)
A site that exploded thanks to Facebook, but since 2012 is completely independent. Unlike, for example, POF; a traditional dating page, Badoo decides to move away from that term and prefers to consider itself a social network deeply focused on getting dates. You can contrast it in that sense with POF and its opinions.
What does Badoo consist of?
It’s all about getting two people interested, talking, and deciding to meet. Nothing out of the ordinary. But from a laptop or cell phone you can clearly see that Badoo works differently from the rest. For example, there are two ways you can get to know someone: in the “meetings” section and in the “people close to you” section.
Dating: Badoo on its own provides a list of potentially compatible candidate profiles according to your interests. If someone interests you from the selection you are interested in, then give them love by clicking on the heart button. Otherwise, press “X” and keep looking. By the way, the number of suggested candidates you can connect with is unlimited, however, you can only have one “meeting” at a time.
People close to you: Profiles are selected only in the proximity of a registered person to your current location. Even so, most will focus on common interests. Similarly, you can decide to go after the contact by starting a chat, or discard such a profile.
Register on Badoo: Opinions
Generally speaking, registration is a fairly simple and quick procedure and I will briefly describe it: names, date of birth, gender, location and what you are looking for: friendship, chats, or dates. Basic information requested on any other platform. You will also have to upload a photo, however, it is not a mandatory requirement in the first instances.
Badoo requires the user to have an email verification in order to continue. After that, everything is ready. However, a personality test is missing to improve the quality of the suggested profiles. For example, Singles with Levels suggests excellent profiles and improves the chances of getting a partner noticeably. Learn more about Singles with Levels.
But Badoo has thought of other tools to minimize the number of fake accounts on its platform. If you want to appear and have a real chance on Badoo, you will have to provide your account from a social network such as Facebook to prove your identity. Otherwise, the blue dove will not be on your profile. Much worse, access to the tools will remain severely restricted. This is one reason that adds to Badoo’s good reviews.
Badoo is one of the most widespread platforms worldwide. In the United States alone there are over 12 million. Although the largest number of users comes from Europe. This further increases the chances for Spain.
On the other hand, it’s also true that Badoo attracts a younger population. Perhaps it is because of its focus on a social network. The vast majority are young adults or kids in their twenties and usually looking for casual dating. However, this does not prevent older people looking for serious relationships from using it. There are certainly better options, for example, Ourtime: the dating site for adults over 50.
As I said before, Badoo looks like a social network, but that’s not all. Its true identity has more to do with a dating site than a social network. Anyway, they’ve made it work a bit like Facebook.
Unfortunately, Badoo can’t boast a good overall look. The menu seems rather disorganized and too simple. Even when a person looks at your profile, they’ll notice it’s a bit empty, even if it’s 100% complete.
However, there’s another aspect that does favor Badoo a lot: user friendliness when it comes to logging in. It’s just a matter of pressing a single button and you’re in. To exit is the same. Certainly, the tools are all displayed on screen, but once you know where they are, you can do anything you want with a single click. It will probably take a little time at first, as the page is quite monotonous and lacks any bright colors.
Special features are highly valued in this type of platform. In Badoo there is variety. Remember that it is a kind of social network, and therefore they have included different features, games and others that most similar sites do not have. There are cases that are just the opposite, that only have a handful of features. For example, Singles with Level, and these are the opinions.
Of course, the disadvantage arises when users with little or no interest in getting a date begin to register, but rather in playing exclusively. Otherwise, it attracts people who are just looking for casual dating or some one-day adventure. Badoo does not enhance the personality, intelligence, or interests of the users, but rather the physical appearance.
- Dating: Designed to find a partner easily by applying different filters ranging from geographic proximity, such as age.
- Profile Scoring: Other users can look at your profile and rate your images. The higher your overall score, the more visible your profile becomes to others.
- Find your clone: At the very least it will be a fun tool. If you like someone, but maybe they don’t want to date you or don’t respond to you, find a match with this option. It may not be as effective, but it will be worth a try.
- Visits: This is what we’ve all wanted at some point on Facebook, a tool that tells us who has visited our profile. It will probably never happen, but on Badoo it will.
- I like it: A really widespread option in all social networks and other platforms. Giving a thumb up when you think a profile or photo is cool can also be done on Badoo.
- Favourites: A simple space on Badoo where you add contacts of your choice to have them at hand quickly. You can also find out who has added you to their ‘Favorites’ list.

Profile on Badoo: Reviews
If we look at Badoo as a social network, the profile wouldn’t be all bad. On the contrary, it’s quite an entertaining style that attracts millions of users. A profile scoring system motivates users to complete the profile in its entirety and keep it attractive. The users themselves are the ones who rate each other and decide how much visibility they get and this is great.
On the other hand, as a dating platform profile is far behind pages like Singles with Level and Parship, why? Simply because the user information is incomplete, there is no test that evaluates other aspects of the personality, beyond a very extensive list of interests to select from. It is impossible to know the opinions of other users regarding topics such as politics, for example.
A major disadvantage of Badoo is the gender imbalance in its population. Despite having so many millions of users, a significant majority of them are men, reaching around 70%. Of course, the possibilities of flirting are drastically reduced and it also causes the creation of false profiles.
In this respect, it’s normal that Badoo is rated a little low. In large part this is due to the impossibility of personalizing the profile and because many of the platform’s members are only looking for casual encounters.
If I had warned you that Badoo’s appearance was not entirely positive on the computer, everything changes in the mobile application. It seems that the company is moving away from the computer and into mobile devices. The difference in appearance is tremendous.
Since Badoo has become popular as a ‘social network’ for casual encounters, the app has exploited that much more and it’s really easy to do so through the app. From a cell phone anyone can make friends, just chat, flirt, flirt and much more.
In the app you will even find more tools than in the original web portal. The design is more organized and simple and that means that it is intuitive for everyone and that the application collects good opinions. It can be easily downloaded from Google Play Store for Android and the Apple App Store.
